WELCOME TO RISHTON RIVIERA

The village of Rishton is named after the Saxon "risc-tun" or village amidst the rushes. The River Hyndburn meanders through it whilst the engineering feat that is the Leeds-Liverpool Canal winds its way around the village. The canal is topped up by Rishton Reservoir which is also used for sailing and angling.

This site is an album of photos taken by one resident in the summer months to show off Rishton at its best.

Life on Rishton Riviera - a hidden treasure to be shared amongst visitors.
